The Marshall Chamber of Commerce and MEDCO once again will host the Business and Industry Appreciation Luncheon on May 16, 2012 at the Marshall Visual Arts Center.
Awards will be given for: Best Boss, Best Employee, Best Small Business (under 30), and Best Large Business.
Nominations are a must for these people and businesses to be considered for the honor. Members can nominate someone in their business or in another business, their boss or their employee -- the rules are pretty flexible. Nominations are due by May 10 and may be submitted by e-mail to cware@gower.net, by FAX (903-935-9982) or in person. Nomination forms are not necessary, but giving details about the nominee is very important. We hope all will participate and come out for the event to celebrate our business community.

LEADERSHIP MARSHALL
This exciting program has been in place since 1991, and without exception, the participants and their employers have been thrilled with the experiences and the results.
Six sessions, one a month that encompasses an entire day, make up this program. The participantsare taken to a variety of locations to explore in depth such topics as city and county government, education, quality of life, healthcare, business and industry, etc. Exploring leadership stlyes and techniques, learning the in's and out's of Marshall's infrastructure and developing personal strengths and relationships carries through to everyday business and makes these individuals an incredible asset.
The fee for the program is $450 - a fraction of the fee charged for the exact same program in larger communities. The returns are immeasurable! Sign one of your employees up today! Or, take the class yourself! Every level of management professional and staff person has gone through this great experience and has come out even better than they were going in.
